François Defrain and Olivier Souquet co-founded DE-SO Architecture agency in 1995 in Paris and since 30 years, together they have gradually affirmed their position via many international awards and achievements.
DE-SO agency consists of four associates (Sandrine Charvet, François Defrain, Magali Lenoir, Olivier Souquet) and twenty collaborators architects and urban planners based in Paris and Avignon. For fifteen years with its Vietnamese branch, the agency carries out public, cultural and educational projects, social housing and urban projects in France and Asia.
We build, optimise the technology and the consumed matter, develop bio-sourced materials and local sectors as a characteristic of our attention to ecology in the broadest sense.
Our constant effort is to ensure the reign of matter. Our work pays particular attention to the landscape, to the place where falls with the project.
As an interlacing, the dimensions of use, the functionality and the materiality are assembled by the drawing and the precise lines between geometry and geography.On two continents, our “savoir-faire” is based on the variety of skills of our team and our partners.
