Architecture Vietnam
The national relic of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial
Nam Dan, Nghe An, Vietnam
The study presents a comprehensive urban and landscape proposal aimed at improving tourist accessibility to the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh in Nghe An Province. Given the sensitivity of the site, which constitutes a vital part of Vietnam's historical and cultural heritage, special care has been taken to ensure that any proposed interventions are respectful and in keeping with the area's significance. The goal of the proposal is to enhance the visitor experience while preserving the site's cultural and historical integrity.
An architecture competition organized in February 2017 by T&T Group has appointed the DE-SO agency to formulate and develop 1/500 projects, approved in 2020. Work in progress.
Amplify the main lines of force of the existing landscape, and clarify the limits of the surrounding villages. The rule was that no element found in the natural landscape, namely the water bodies and the rice paddies around the villages, could be subject to use change. The aim was to preserve and maintain the small-scale cohesion of villages, without disrupting scales.
