The main function of the project is to build a new cultural touristic project focusing on showcasing Vietnamese craftsmanship, comparable to Bat Trang Village in the North. So the project is a ceramic village for tourism to promote the cultural and craft activites in the South of Vietnam. It includes some services: a hotel to host overnight guest, a food court to serve the on-site visitors, a playground and guided tours for groups visitors.
Three principles guide the project. The first is to create an attractive, atypical place with events (day and night) while preserving the existing orchards.
The second is to develop multifunction
buildings.
The third is to develop an economy on the spot with the craft villages in order to promote the circular economy.
As an example, we designed a home for artists in residence but the main point is that the whole is an ecological demonstration project with local bio-sourced materials with low CO2 emissivity and with autonomous waste and water management.
