The project proposes a new urban area to Vietnam’s heritage land. Gia Lam initiates the meeting of water and earth. Existing conditions are typical of old developed landscape, mainly devoted to agriculture, with a hydrographic network, in connection with different hydrological situations. Different neighborhoods and atmospheres (island, natural and mineral banks) are developed with proposed streets of same dimensions as the old streets in Hanoi, and similar density as the city center of Hanoi.
